I'm a busy mom of five, nurse, and proud CDI rockstar!
My career began in the Emergency Department, where I worked as both an EMT and RN trainee before graduating nursing school and continuing in the ED. While I loved caring for patients, the reality of night shifts, short staffing, and constant leadership turnover eventually left me burned out.
That’s when God aligned my path and introduced me to the world of Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI)—a field I didn’t even know existed at the time, but one that completely transformed my life.
Since starting my CDI journey in 2013, I’ve grown into an award-winning, nationally recognized CDI leader. I’ve had the privilege of speaking at major conferences, educating healthcare professionals and leaders across the country, and in 2023, I was honored to receive the ACDIS Award for Professional Achievement in CDI. Today, I continue to serve the profession proudly as a member of the ACDIS Advisory Board.
Now, my mission is to help CDI Specialists and nurses at every stage of their journey find success, avoid burnout, and thrive in a career that offers meaning, balance, and growth.
